Knowing what’s on the menu before you board a Virgin Voyages ship genuinely changes the trip. You walk into Pink Agave on Night 1 knowing the duck enchiladas with mole are the move. You sit down at Test Kitchen knowing the scallop is the dish people talk about. You book Extra Virgin for date night because you already know the cacio e pepe is hand-rolled. We’re Joel and Erin, certified Virgin Voyages First Mates, and this page is the resource we point Sailors to when they ask “what should I actually order?”
Virgin Voyages has more than 20 dining venues across the fleet, and every single one is included in your fare. No specialty dining package. No upcharges. No “premium” tier. You can eat at Test Kitchen one night, The Wake the next, Pink Agave the third, and Extra Virgin the fourth — at zero extra cost. The menus reflect that commitment to inclusion: real ambition, real culinary teams, real seasonality. These aren’t watered-down cruise-ship versions of restaurants. They are full restaurants that happen to be at sea.
Some menus are seasonal — they rotate ingredients with the time of year, the region you’re sailing in (Mediterranean menus differ from Caribbean menus), and the chefs’ personal updates. The menus posted here are the most recent versions we have on file. They will be very close to what you see onboard, but expect minor updates and occasional dish swaps. The structure, the philosophy, and the signature items stay consistent.
The Test Kitchen chef’s table — bookable as a separate experience within Test Kitchen — is the deepest culinary experience on the ship. Limited seats, multi-course tasting, wine pairings, and the chef walking you through each plate. If you have any interest in food and a Test Kitchen reservation, ask about the chef’s table when you book.
Why Knowing the Menu Before You Board Changes Everything
Here’s the practical play. Read these menus before your voyage. Bookmark the dishes you want. When reservations open (typically 45 days before sailing), book the restaurants in the order that gets you the dishes you most want to try. Plan your first-night cocktail before you board — walking into Pink Agave on embarkation day and ordering “the Forgery, neat” is a different experience than reading the cocktail menu cold at the table.
For Sailors with dietary restrictions, the menus also let you plan ahead. Razzle Dazzle is the vegetarian-forward venue (with optional “naughty” meat additions). The Wake has the most consistent gluten-free and dairy-free options. Extra Virgin will adjust any pasta dish. Test Kitchen accommodates any restriction with notice. Knowing this before you board means you can prioritize the right reservations.
