Sip Lounge is the most sophisticated bar on any Virgin Voyages ship — a champagne lounge and premium cocktail bar at the front of Deck 7 that offers an elegant escape from the ship’s more energetic spaces. If The Manor is where you go to dance, Sip is where you go to be seen without the chaos. Pre-dinner drinks. Post-show cocktails. A proper afternoon pause with a glass of something sparkling and a view of the ocean.

It’s also the pre-show gathering point for The Red Room, positioned directly adjacent to the venue. On show nights, Sip fills with Sailors building anticipation over champagne. It’s one of the best vibes on the ship.
The Space

Sip Lounge is a large, elegant space broken into smaller seating sections — intimate enough for a couple, accommodating enough for a group. The design is sophisticated without being cold: premium materials, thoughtful lighting, and a forward-facing position on the ship that offers excellent ocean views. Whether you’re alone with a book and a glass of wine or with a group before a show, the layout works.

The Drinks
Sip lives up to its name. The bar specializes in premium wines, champagne, and mixology-led cocktails that go beyond the standard ship bar program. This is where you order the Moet, where you compare sparkling wines, where the bartenders are making drinks with genuine craft rather than just pouring.

Sip Lounge also hosts Afternoon Tea on select days — a proper, elegant service that is one of the more underutilized experiences on any Virgin Voyages sailing. Check the app for Afternoon Tea availability on your voyage.
RockStar guests note: When weather prevents the Sunset Happy Hour from happening at Richard’s Rooftop, it relocates to Sip Lounge. The drinks, service, and exclusivity remain the same — just with a different (and equally beautiful) backdrop.
When to Go
Sip Lounge is best in three windows: pre-dinner cocktails (it fills pleasantly but rarely gets overwhelming), pre-Red Room show (arrive 30 minutes before show time for the full experience), and late afternoon on sea days when you want something quieter than the pool deck energy. Insider Tips from Joel and Erin
- Make Sip your pre-Red Room ritual. A cocktail at Sip before a show in The Red Room is one of the most civilized ways to spend an evening on a Virgin Voyages ship. Do it at least once on every sailing.
- Ask about Afternoon Tea. It’s not widely promoted but it’s genuinely lovely. Check the app on embarkation day to see if it’s scheduled on your sea days.
- Sip for the champagne. If you’re celebrating something — anniversary, birthday, honeymoon — Sip Lounge is where you pop the bottle. The setting makes the moment.
