The name says everything you need to know about Virgin Voyages’ philosophy: Gym & Tonic. Detox and retox. Wellness and indulgence existing not in conflict but in perfect coexistence. Located on Deck 15 next to the B-Complex gym and overlooking the Well-being Pool, Gym & Tonic is simultaneously a juice bar, a smoothie counter, and a full cocktail bar — serving whatever you need, whenever you need it, without judgment.

It’s one of the most Virgin Voyages things on any Virgin Voyages ship. Check out The Dock: Virgin Voyages’ Outdoor Bar and Hangout Space.
The Concept

Gym & Tonic occupies the space between the B-Complex fitness center and the Well-being Pool, which makes it the natural landing spot after a workout or a soak in the hot tub. The setup is deliberately flexible: come for a cold-pressed juice after yoga, come for a Reset Cocktail (healthy in spirit, with spirit), come for a post-HIIT smoothie with protein, or come straight from the pool for a mid-afternoon cocktail with a view. There is no wrong answer.
What They Serve
The menu spans the full spectrum:

- Cold-pressed juices — fresh, properly made, multiple varieties
- Made-to-order smoothies — including post-workout protein options
- Wellness shots — ginger, turmeric, and other functional ingredients
- Reset Cocktails — Virgin Voyages’s creative take on the “healthy cocktail,” using wellness ingredients with actual spirits
- Full bar menu — standard cocktails, beer, wine for when the detox portion of your day has concluded
The result is a bar that genuinely serves every version of every Sailor at every point in the day. Morning person who wants a green juice before the gym? Gym & Tonic. Afternoon person who wants a cocktail by the pool? Also Gym & Tonic.
The Setting
Gym & Tonic overlooks the Well-being Pool, which is a quieter pool area than the main pool deck — fewer people, lower energy, more conducive to actual relaxation. Seating around the bar extends toward the pool and the outdoor loungers, making it an excellent base for a slow sea day afternoon.
Insider Tips from Joel and Erin
- The Reset Cocktails are genuinely good. Don’t dismiss them as a gimmick. The bar team takes the wellness cocktail concept seriously, and several of them have become Sailor favorites.
- Gym & Tonic after a group fitness class is the move. Virgin Voyages includes fitness classes in your fare. Take the sunrise yoga, then walk directly to Gym & Tonic for a juice. That’s the ideal Virgin Voyages morning.
- It’s quieter than the main pool bar. If you want a drink by water without the crowd energy of the main deck, the Well-being Pool area with a Gym & Tonic cocktail is your answer.
