The Social Insider is Virgin Voyages’s four-person cabin in the Insider category, measuring 177 square feet. The sleeping configuration uses two singles on the floor level and two Pullman-style fold-down bunk beds above them — a layout that requires the kind of familiarity with your travel companions that only close friends or siblings typically have. There is no natural light. There is no balcony. There is a games console, which at least acknowledges the spirit of the booking.
There are 10 Social Insider cabins per ship, located on Deck 5. That limited inventory means they book up quickly on any sailing where a group is looking to maximize value.
Who It’s For
The Social Insider works for groups who share one key characteristic: they are genuinely not planning to spend meaningful time in the cabin. Friend groups who are there for the parties, the restaurants, the ports, and the late nights. Bachelor or bachelorette groups on a budget. Young travelers who understand that the cabin is a crash pad and the ship is the experience.
It does not work for groups who want personal space, morning quiet, or any semblance of a retreat from the social energy of the sailing. For those groups, multiple Sea Terrace cabins with a balcony partition opened between them is a far better — and surprisingly affordable — alternative.

Divide the Social Insider’s four-person rate by four and compare it to a Solo Insider or even a Sea Terrace per person.
