What You Get
The Sea Terrace offers 185 to 225 square feet of interior space plus a private balcony of approximately 40 square feet. The interior includes the full standard Virgin Voyages amenity package: queen bed (convertible to twins), rain shower, 4K TV, mood lighting, minibar, in-cabin tablet, and the full tech suite. The balcony adds outdoor space with a table, chairs, and — on most Sea Terraces — the famous hand-woven red hammock.
That hammock is not a gimmick. It is genuinely one of the best places to spend a sea day afternoon or a warm evening at sea on any ship in any fleet. Sailors who dismiss it before their first sailing are invariably converted within 24 hours of boarding.
The Sub-Types

- Central Sea Terrace: Same cabin as the standard Sea Terrace, positioned mid-ship. Less motion, faster access to most venues. The most popular single sub-type.
- XL Sea Terrace: Approximately 30% more living space, with a larger bathroom featuring separate toilet and shower chambers and double vanity. Best for longer voyages or anyone who values bathroom space.
- Standard Sea Terrace: The baseline cabin. Forward or aft location. Everything you need, nothing extra.
- Sea Terrace (Slightly Smaller Balcony): Same interior as the standard, smaller outdoor space. Some include two hammock chairs instead of one.
- Limited View Sea Terrace: Partially obstructed view (typically lifeboats). Priced lower than standard. Balcony and hammock still present — go in with clear expectations.
The Hammock Question
Not all Sea Terraces have the red hammock. Forward-facing XL Sea Terraces and some cabins near the bow or stern use an egg chair instead due to structural constraints.
